With the new season nearly upon us with exciting times expected on the pitch we sincerely hope that our valued 2025/26 members will choose to renew and continue their journey with us. While we cherish our current members, we’re also excited to welcome new members into the Trust family, indeed we have many new enquiries from folk wanting to be part of the Trust, and as we continually say, the Trust is for its members and driven by it members to whom we the board are responsible to.
For the Trust board, it has been a busy and at times hard but rewarding season. Notable has been our work supporting and raising monies for our charity, the Rochdale DS All Stars, a local mum driven group for families influenced by Down Syndrome. Our Mantra for the season was to also support “grass roots” women’s football to this end a substantial three figure donation was made to the RAFC under 12’s women’s team to provide heavy duty rain wear, keeping souls warm and embracing their enthusiasm. As well as that donation we also with our sister organisation, Dale 1907 provided the All Stars group the chance to attend a Christmas pantomime, this was without restraint and included Mum, Dads and all siblings from each family.
Early on in the season the Trust provided funding to ensure the DS All Stars footballers could enjoy safe indoor winter training, which would not have been possible without the donation. Here we would like to thank the Dale Community Trust for their tireless work with the All Stars enabling them to grow and develop further, and finally for the Daletrust we recognise the need for speech therapy which provides such a vital need in the development of a child with DS, the Daletrust is in the process of making a significant contribution to enable future work in this area.
To the above we add our work in developing and assisting with the “reset” of the Her Game Too initiative which has seen amazing progress with the HGT ambassador’s now firmly entrenched in the Dale family network.
All of the above and more can be found on the Trust website www.daletrust.co.uk
BUT all of this takes second place to our most important work and that is representing all members, Adult, Exile and junior both collectively and individually in ensuring their voice, their questions and concerns are aired not only via our CAB representatives at CAB, Trust Clb Director but also uniquely by our board staff directly with the various departments within the football club, something which is always ongoing.
By using our excellent website, our active social media and our newsletters and regular emails we remain available at all times.
Before I extend my invite a word to our regular traveling members and fans. We will through our travel team be providing coach travel for the forthcoming season. The travel team have been hugely responsible for getting more fans to away games. It has been a huge task, often thankless but something which are proud to have done and something we hope will be of benefit for the forth coming EFL season.
