We can confirm that our Carabao Cup tie at Tranmere will take place on Saturday 1st August.
This will be played on the weekend prior to the First Round of the competition, before our Sky Bet League Two campaign kicks off across the weekend of 14-16th August. Ticketing details for our visit to Prenton Park will be confirmed in due course, with the game to be broadcasted live on Sky Sports+.
The winner will advance to the Northern section of Round One, the draw for which will take place on Thursday 25th June, alongside fixture release day and the Vertu Trophy draw.
A reminder that the preliminary round is required due to the participation of nine Premier League clubs in European competition next season.
