Trades People, Can You help with our Volunteers Week at the COA…

Our message below in blue, which we posted a few days ago to ask for volunteers for the second year initiative of a “Volunteers Week” at the Crown Oil Arena is proving popular.

But with a volunteer workforce who are happy to pitch in with minor repairs, Painting and other essential maintenance work means we could also do with any help from Trades people, who may have time to spare, or even retired folk to help the staff and the volunteers and lend guiding hands to make help in the various tasks.

If any one feel they have the spare time, a couple of hours a day, even days, then the team at the Dale still need help and would like to hear from you

Have a read of our original article below and if you are interested or need to know more, just get in touch with Ruby who’s co-ordinating the week, you can contact her at fan services HERE.

As a Trust, we are always, we’re happy to support the wonderful ‘Volunteers Week’ initiative — an effort we proudly helped kick off last year, the inaugural year of this exciting event. Please see below, taken from the club website here.

“We’re pleased to confirm the dates of our Volunteers Week, where we are calling on supporters, local businesses, and members of the community to get involved.

Week Taking place at the Crown Oil Arena from Monday 22nd June 2026, we’re aiming to get the ground ready ahead of the 2026/27 season and would welcome any support, whether you can spare a few hours or a full day (9am-5pm, Monday-Friday).

Please note that this is only open to people aged 14 and over, with Under 18s to be accompanied by an adult.

Throughout the week, we’ll be carrying out light maintenance and tidying jobs across the stadium, including things such as jetwashing, restarting maintenance of the Wonder Wall on Sandy Lane, repainting stand steps and more.

Snacks and refreshments will be available for all volunteers during the day.

Whether you’re a long-time fan or just looking to support your local club, everyone is welcome. Even an hour of your time can make a huge difference.

If you would like to be involved, please fill our Volunteers Form. Please include details of particular skills, tools or supplies that you can offer, so that we can allocate jobs efficiently during the week.

We are encouraging local businesses, particularly those involved in the decorating/maintenance trades, to get involved by donating time, resources or staff. In return, participating businesses will receive various benefits such as promotion through our social media channels after the event, recognition on our website and in related posts. It’s a great way to support a community club while gaining valuable local exposure.”
