They provide a unique line of services and are happy to tackle any job, be it small or large, and by large we will show you further down the page!

When we spoke to Chris Ashton, whose business it is he was a great pains to point out that no job is to small  “we appreciate that what may be a small bush or tree that seems an inconvenience and a mammoth job to the ordinary householder will be of no problem to us and we are always prepared to help” in saying that Chris also directed us to his web site and more importantly his Facebook (Click HERE) site where some of the mammoth jobs they have tackled are posted for all to see along with a rack full of testimonials.

But First, what services do Special Branch Surgery Offer

Well, we list below the major areas but the list is not exclusive.

1) Felling and Removal- The complete removal of a tree, any size tree, down to a small stump.

2) Stump Grinding – mechanical removal of the stump to below ground level.

Special Branch are the specialists in tree stump removal, we grind out the stumps using the most up to date machine called a stump grinder. This machine literally grinds the stump into chippings. This method is the most efficient method of destroying the stump leaving the area ready for the next stage of garden design, replanting, fencing or building works

3) Site clearance – removal of some or all tree and bushes from construction sites to enable building works to commence.

4) Formative pruning – pruning of young tree stock to remove dead wood and defects. This will be of use to many trust members whose planted trees maybe getting out of hand!

5) Crown lifting – removal of lower branches arround a trees crown to allow light to pass through.

6) Pollarding – removal of all the branches of a damaged tree to allow regrowth

7) Crown thinning – removal of selective branches within the tree to allow light to pass through whilst keeping its shape

8) Crown reduction – reduction of the size of the overall canopy.

So what happens to the waste?
