Dale in the Community Update

Here’s the latest from Keith and the team –

MASCOT PACKAGE

Today’s mascots are Harry Taylor and Harrison Fairhurst

Harry Taylor attends Caldershaw Primary School in year one with his best friend being Harvey.
He loves watching Dale play and goes to all the home games with his dad with favourite player being Joe Bunny .
According to mum, he loves playing football and going out on his bike.

Harrison Fairhurst is Dale mad even though he lives in North Yorkshire.
Harrison plays in midfield for his local football team, Thorpe United, rugby for Selby and recently qualified and competed in the North Yorkshire Schools cross country finals.
He loves going to see Dale play with his dad and big brother Dan and his dream is to one day play for the mighty Dale.

Harrison Fairhurst

His most memorable game was the defeat of Leeds United as it gave him bragging rights with his team mates and his favourite players are Ian Henderson and Jamie Allen.

For the match against Yeovil, we had the pleasure of meeting Aaron and Finn Hanby, who brought with him the naughty bus from Whiitaker Moss Primary School, apparently he had to get as much publicity as possible so he decided to take it with him when meeting the players prior to leading the teams out.

KICK IT OUT DAY

As you are probably aware, we held the Kick It Out Day for the game against Yeovil Town promoting professional football’s efforts to educate, raise awareness and campaign to make the game a more safe, welcoming and comfortable environment free of all forms of discrimination, prejudiced attitudes and abusive behaviour.
Hamer Community School and Heybrook Primary School were meant to be playing at half time but due to the atrocious weather we had to settle for parading the banner under supervision of Siobhan McElhinney, CommunityTrust Manager.
