Announced today by the club and probably expected by most is the news that the Dale will play two “Home” games at the Wham Arena, the home of Accrington FC.
While we never anticipated announcing a news story like this, the courtesy shown by Accrington will allow the Dale to completely renew the COA playing surface with significant improvements rather than cosmetic changes. If this were a medical procedure, it would be best described as a radical intervention, and thanks to the Ogdens and clear thinking at the club, it is!
Finally, for those who travel, Accrington has always been a welcoming ground. We can all be assured of a warm welcome by the staff at the stadium. Also, if it rains, most will actually be under cover
So today , the announcement of the club follows,
Rochdale Football Club can confirm the venue for our upcoming home matches against Hartlepool United and Brackley Town.
Both fixtures will be played at Accrington Stanley’s Wham Stadium, whilst the pitch at the Crown Oil Arena undergoes a mid-season rebuild.
SEASON TICKET HOLDERS
There will be a seven-day priority period in which Dale Season Ticket holders can claim their ticket online for the matches against Hartlepool (Tuesday 30th December 2025, 7.45 pm) and Brackley (Saturday 3rd January 2026, 3pm). This priority window will begin at 1pm on Monday, 8th December, for David Kilpatrick Main Stand and Smith Metals Family Stand Season Ticket holders, and 1pm on Wednesday, 10th December, for those in the Sandy Lane. The window for all stands will close at 1 pm on Wednesday, 17th December.
It is very important that Season Ticket holders claim their tickets for each match online during this priority window. Once on General Sale, Season Ticket holders will only be able to claim a ticket in person at the Dale Club Shop or via the phone (click HERE for opening hours and contact details).
Season Ticket holders must claim a ticket for each match, which will be available to do so through your Fanbase account. Supporters will be able to claim a ticket in either the seated Taylors Scaffolding Jack Barrett Main Stand or the home blocks within the seated Vital Synergy Eric Whalley Family Stand, as well as the covered, terraced Farleys Solicitors Stand (Clayton End).
Any supporter who does not use the Fanbase app, or would like to have physical tickets, will be able to claim these from the Dale Club Shop.
It is important that supporters claim tickets for both fixtures if they plan to attend both. Claiming a ticket for a single match will only give you access to that game.
Executive Box, Premium Padded Seat and Lounge Pass holders will be contacted separately. If you have any questions, please contact commercial@rochdaleafc.co.uk.
GENERAL SALE
Tickets for both matches will go on general sale as soon as the Season Ticket priority window ends at 1pm on Wednesday, 17th December.
Prices will remain the same as a Main Stand ticket for seated areas, and the same as a Sandy Lane ticket for standing areas (click HERE to view our prices). Furthermore, there will be no price increase on the day.
Tickets will be available to purchase online and from our Club Shop.
Once tickets go on General Sale, Season Ticket holders will only be able to claim a ticket in person at the Dale Club Shop or via the phone.
COLEY’S BAR
The fantastic facilities at Coley’s Bar will be open to all home supporters before both matches, regardless of which stand you have a ticket for. If you wish to visit Coley’s, your ticket will be scanned upon entry, and you can simply exit into the stadium and to your chosen stand from the bar.
FURTHER DETAILS
Further details, such as getting to the Wham Stadium, accessing the stadium and much more, will follow from next week. We are currently investigating the cost and options for travel from Rochdale to the matches.
As previously communicated, we appreciate that the relocation of these two home matches provides some inconvenience for our supporters. We would like to thank you for your understanding and support regarding the situation.
Finally, we would like to thank Accrington Stanley, the EFL, National League, Hartlepool and Brackley for their cooperation.
