The Trust’s appeal for their charity, Rochdale Down Syndrome All Stars, has progressed slowly but surely, and with five aims set, we had our work cut out.
It’s at times like these that charity and good-hearted people should come together, and in our case, our sister organisation DALE 1907 has certainly done that!
One of our fundraising goals was to send the children and families to a Christmas pantomime, something that is often out of reach for some and difficult for others.
We have received a fantastic pledge from the Dale1907 group, which will now enable over 92 people—including children with DS, their siblings, and parents—to attend the professional Pantomime at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in Oldham. This year, it is ..

All of this has been paid for by a donation from the Dale 1907 group, who have covered the cost for all group members to attend. Theatre tickets at Yule time are in much demand and not cheap, but our thanks must go to Dale 1907, and particularly to Lee Percy, who organised this for us, as well as to Matt Devine and Mark Wiily, who made this happen with their colleagues at Dale 1907.

The Trust is overwhelmed by the generosity of the 1907 group, who have come together with us at Christmas time to support one of our key aims and make this bit of magic happen.
The All Stars trust appeal continues following our donation to enable the children to continue their football during the winter, and Dale 1907’s amazing Panto initiative. We are also raising funds for our next goal: providing several speech therapy sessions for the All Stars children, which is essential.
You can donate via the Trust’s website or press the red heart below.
Finally, a big thank you again to Dale 1907, who has realised the dreams for some of the children this coming Christmas holiday.
P.S. There is no truth in the rumour that Lee, Mat or Mark auditioned for the part of the Beast, least that’s what they said!
