Putting Dale shirts into fans hands!

We are excited to announce that we will be putting Dale shirts into fans’ hands. This is something we have been planning for some time, and Trust Director Matt Cullen has been working on the details. Although we wanted to launch this initiative alongside our other fan activities at the beginning of the season, we waited until our conversations with Rochdale DS All Stars, our chosen charity, were finalised. So, over to you, Matt…

Rochdale Supporters Trust are on a mission. The mission is to put Dale shirts into fans’ hands to raise some money for our chosen charity, Rochdale DS All Stars.

Rochdale D.S. All Stars is a fantastic local charity that offers many benefits for children with Down syndrome and their parents and siblings.

Seventy per cent of all funds raised by this novel Dale Shirt initiative will go towards our chosen charity, with the remaining thirty per cent utilised to support the Trust in fulfilling its other ongoing directives.

At Rochdale Supporters Trust, we can’t think of better sights than Dale shirts out in the wild, fans representing the badge as they go about their daily lives or fans having a prized Dale Badged shirt to treasure whilst doing their bit for our charity.

So, we have modern and classic shirts going all the way back to the 80s that are coming up for sale throughout the season using various platforms such as raffles, football cards, website auctions, social media and before selected home games at the trust desk.

Over the course of the season, you can get your hands on a variety of shirts at a great range of price points and sizes —not just the expensive gems this time. The intention is to get our fans feeling shirty with the added bonus of helping our charity, Rochdale D.S. All Stars.

But we also really need your help —the help of our members and all Dale fans everywhere (including all exiles in the UK or abroad) — to fuel this campaign.

(Remember Retro begins at the end of each season! ) If you have absolutely any Rochdale AFC shirts that you want to donate, such as player shirts (it really doesn’t matter which player), signed shirts, older shirts, newer shirts, adult shirts, kids shirts, framed shirts etc then Please don’t hesitate to drop me a line or a comment/message on social media, contact me or other trust collegues via email using matt@daletrust.co.uk or catch me or othe Trust members at the trust desk before home games in the Dale Bar.

We are always happy to talk to you and will gratefully accept shirt donations, whether big or small. Every contribution helps, and by donating, you will be doing your part for the children, parents, and families supported by our local charity that assists children with Down’s syndrome.

We hope this initiative will reach even more children with Down’s syndrome who have yet to benefit from the support and well-being that ALL STARS provides. Additionally, we look forward to putting Rochdale AFC shirts into the hands of another grateful Dale fan.

For now, keep your eyes peeled as raffles, football cards, and auctions will be coming your way very soon. Indeed, it will be a real rarity that comes to light soon, something that most will want to own!

You can keep up to date with our initiatives by following us on social media platforms X, Instagram and Facebook, as well as our regular postings on our website. Alternatively, as a Trust member, you can check your email inbox for new shirts being made available from our ‘shirts in fans’ hands’ initiative over the course of the season.

I could really use your help making this initiative a success. As a family of Daleys, we have the fantastic opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of children and families in need within The All Stars.

Together, we can help grow our charity, and our goal is to make sure that as many kids—and even the big kids!—can wear a shirt with pride. The badge means so much to us; players strive for it, and we love showing it off! Plus, plenty of others want to wear it, too! Let’s take last season’s shirts on a journey, celebrate their journey, and, over the years, embrace the fun and charm of retro shirts. Thank you for being a part of this!

If you have a shirt, whether it’s a children’s one or an adult one, I would really appreciate it if you could spare it for the cause.

If you want to know more, discuss the initiative or help in any way, then please email me at matt@daletrust.co.uk or info@daletrust.co.uk.

I will be updating as we go along from our website and Facebook site (if you’re not following, then please do, it all helps)
