The Trusts Rochdale Her Game Too team had a hectic winning weekend.
While some HGT advocates enjoyed a day out watching the men’s team at Wealdstone (stay tuned for that story!), others gathered at the COA on Sunday afternoon to cheer on the Dale Women’s team.
It was an exciting match, and we’re thrilled to share that they clinched a 2-1 victory over Atherton Laburnum Rovers Ladies at the Crown Oil Arena on Sunday afternoon! What a fantastic game!.
Goals by Sophie Coates and Liv Jones ultimately led the team to victory, bringing a sense of triumph after a challenging match. The atmosphere at COA was filled with excitement and support. It’s important to acknowledge that it wasn’t an easy day for Dale, as their opponents, Atherton Laburnum, managed to score first.
However, the strong winning mentality that’s developing at the COA truly shone through. The team’s hard work and resilience paid off, resulting in a well-deserved 2-1 win. It’s a testament to their determination and spirit.
