Okay, it’s flag-waving time again, and the Flag is getting bigger, but it’s not quite there yet!
Our good friend Mat Devine and the Dale 1907 crew are at it again, flag waving, or more to the point, Flag laying, and we do not mean paths or drives, etc!

Some weeks ago, our sister organisation, Dale 1907, embarked on a repair to the existing flags they had placed at Spotland and, at the same time, erected more flags they had acquired, borrowed, or generally found hanging around. Team 1907 on a mission is quite spectacular, led by the boy Percy with his step ladder. They were on the ground, maintaining their “stock” while adding others to other sites on the ground.

The Trust staff were on the ground working on the HER GAME TOO project with some of the women footballers when Team 1907 turned up, and we can witness the great effort going into making Spotland spectacular for our opening games. But, and yes, there is always a “But”, all of this effort requires finance, including funds to cover repairs, acquire new stock, and support future Dale 1907 initiatives.
Recently, we published a post from Dale 1907 appealing for support with fundraising for this ongoing project HERE.
It’s worth checking out again. In the meantime, Matt and the group have made a fresh call for help on their Facebook page. They are seeking assistance in reaching their goal of £2,500, which is needed to complete phase one and cover as much ground as possible.
