At the start of the 2025/26 season, the Trust committed to supporting several local organisations as part of its dedication to the community around the Dale.
The Dale Trust made a commitment by donating £600 to grassroots women’s football. This contribution benefited the RAFC Womens junior teams and featured the under-12s women’s team, allowing them to receive new wet weather gear. As a result, the players could stay dry, warm, and comfortable during the winter months and beyond.
The RAFC women’s game (not the RAFC Open Age team which is under the club ) has teams of all age representations which take to the field team each week.
Organising all of this and overseeing the success is our colleague and friend Emma Thetford with whom the Trust has formed a close successful working relationship
NOW THE LONDON MARATHON!
Emma is passionately committed to empowering young women in Rochdale and
beyond by creating football opportunities. To support this inspiring cause, she’ll be running the London 2026 Marathon on Sunday, 26th April.
That means she will be running 26.2 miles for the cause, that being, to raise money for all of the junior Rochdale AFC Ladies; to help them to continue to offer football for young females in the Rochdale and surrounding areas.
On behalf of Emma (who is in serious training!) we ask you, if possible to make a donation in support of her initiative.
Please LIKE, SHARE and DONATE if you can!
