With the introduction of the Exiles Season ticket – a ten game season card from just £100 – the Trust is launching a drive to increase sales of those season tickets by proposing an Exiles Player of the Season award.
The Exiles have long been an established section of the Dale Trust and last season, we had an amazing record 388 Exiles. The Exiles Day at the Crown Oil Arena has always been a fixture on the Dale calendar and Exiles Coordinator, Ian Goodwin, hopes to revive the Exiles Away Day for 2022-23. Exiles are also catered for with a regular newsletter especially for Exile members.
Should the Club manage to sell 100 Exile Season tickets before the opening day of the 2022-23 season, we will introduce an Exiles Player of the Season Award for the first time. We will consult with the Trust Exiles over the choice of trophy later in the season. Not only that, but we will also reward the Trust Exile member who lives the furthest from Spotland that buys a season ticket at the end of the season with a special prize.
Last season, the Club sold a total of 33 Country Season Tickets, and as we continue to come out of Covid times, we are confident that we can reach the target of 100 Exiles Season tickets. We are aware that a number of Trust Exiles purchase a full season ticket despite living some distance from the Club.
As far as we are aware, we are the only Football Club within the 92 Clubs in the EFL that offers season tickets specifically aimed at supporters that live away from the town. The season ticket is a ten-game season ticket that comes with all the benefits of a full season ticket including choice of seat and is available to those supporters living a minimum of 50 miles away from the Crown Oil Arena. This is not limited to Dale Trust members. The Club will provide us with the number of Exile Season Tickets that have been sold throughout the next few weeks. Should any Trust members purchase the full season ticket, please let us know so that we can add you to the total.
