Work has commenced on the new community pitch at the back of the Pearl Street Stand.
The new complex has been financed through donations and fundraising from the Dale Trust, as well as grants from the Football Foundation and Viridor meaning there has been no cost to the Football Club in replacing the 5-a-side pitch that has been in place since 1997.
It is expected to take 2-3 months to complete with plans underway for a launch event. When complete, it should be a notable improvement on the previous facility.
