Following the announcement at the Fans Forum, the Trust are please to announce our fundraising support for the new club Study Centre.
The club are upgrading & re launching the Study Centre in the Willbutts Lane Stand to give a base at Spotland for the EDS players. It’s being run in conjunction with Hopwood Hall and will allow up to 60 students each year to study football and all related occupations with a chance to both learn and possibly have a career in professional sport.
Not only will it provide a base for the EDS but also for the Futsal FITC will be housed there. There is also the possibility of using the venue for other community based groups.
The club estimate that the running costs will be in the region of £40k per year but initially, there is much in the way of IT equipment and furnishing to fund.
The Trust see this as being an ideal fundraising project for the coming year and will be announcing events in the coming weeks. Not only will it benefit the Football Club (who knows… we might unearth the next Jamie Allen or Will Buckley) but it will hugely benefit the local community.
