Trust Coaches have delivered sessions at twenty Primary Schools since the programme started in September.

School Sport Programme is a project which is designed to provide Primary Schools with support in improving the provision of Physical Activity (PE) and sport and physical activities, both during curriculum and extra-curriculum time. The aim is to provide higher quality, positive experiences for the pupils, enabling positive teaching and learning, alongside increased participation opportunities and playing pathways.

The programme is partnered by the Premier League, Professional Footballer’s Association (PFA) and Football League.
The Premier League has invested £10.5 million to roll this project out in 67 Premier League and Football League clubs, providing opportunities for thousands more PE lessons to be delivered by Club coaches in England and Wales.

“Investing in the primary school sector, where everything begins, is a perfect fit with our overarching strategy of aiming to get more young people playing sport”
Richard Scudamore, Premier League Chief Executive

Trust coaches have recently completed 1st4Sport Level “3” Certificate in Supporting the Delivery of PE and School Sport (QCF) with AFPE, who are the industry lead in this area and recently consulted by the Government in respect of PE provision.
