Rochdale AFC Football In The Community 2013

The Dale Trust is proud to be supporting Rochdale Football in the Community as our chosen charity this year.
We have already organised a sponsored walk to raise funds for a new van which can support the FITC team in their work throughout the borough, we’ll have details of the van coming soon.
Over 32,000 participants have taken part in Rochdale Football in the Community projects including –
Education Projects
Health Projects
Social Inclusion Projects
Sports Participation Projects

Dale Trust Calendars

The calendars are still on sale for £5, you can get them in the club shop but it is cash only. We are selling calendars online through the website. There aren’t many left so if you want one do it sooner rather than later.

Football Shirt Collection

The Trust are looking to members and supporters to donate football shirts for disabled children in Uganda.
Dale Trust member Helen Whittaker is going to Uganda in the Summer on a charity mission to work with disabled children in a remote rural school, we’ll have a collection box at the Trust desk before Saturdays match.

Football Governance E-Petition Help Request

We’ve been asked to pass the following onto our members –
Over a year ago the Department for Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee asked the FA and Football League to address concerns about the governance of our national game. A year on nothing substantial has happened and we have a series of issues of poor ownership occuring :
Hull, Blackburn, Cardiff, Leeds, Coventry etc. We therefore ask that the Select Committee revisits its work on football governance and illustrates the growing problems by undertaking a short Inquiry into one particular club. Coventry City’s owner has relocated the club from the
City of Coventry to Northampton, 35 miles away. Attendances have dropped from 12,000 to 2,000 – 10,000 football fans are being deprived of their right to follow their club in their city. This will highlight concerns shared by football fans across the country that football is being run poorly and not in the interests of football supporters in general, and the need for immediate action.

Exiles Day – 5th April 2014

We are delighted to announce the annual exiles day has been confirmed for 5th April 2014 vs York City. We have approx 40 places available; if this number is exceeded we have other options available. The price per head will be £30 for adults and £15 concession. Included in the package will be a buffet style lunch, with soup included, and other additional benefits associated with this package.

Junior Dale

Saturday Club will be open for league games, 12 – 5 at £9 per child, 5 a side, MacDonald’s dinner and the match, it’s a great offer. The Trust have been working with Football in the Community to promote the Junior Dale Saturday Club we are pleased to announce that numbers are continuing to rise, we are also pleased to announce that on production of a valid Dale Trust membership card you can get £1 off.
