Sponsored Walk to Accrington – A Massive Success!

The Trust held a sponsored walk to Accrington, the aim of the walk was to raise funds for this year’s chosen charity – Rochdale Football In the Community. The plan was to raise over £1,000 towards a van that they can use when they visit schools, organisations and community groups throughout the town, we are pleased to announce we’ve smashed the target and except to collect around £1500!
A write up on the event can be found here

Safety Nets

We have been approached by the club to assist in the purchase of netting in front of the TDS stand, usually the away team warm up in the area and following some stray balls (from opposition players) it has been agreed to provide temporary netting. We’ll have further details soon.

AGM

We held the AGM last night, a disappointing turnout but further consultation was held regarding the ‘Bowlee Fund’

Consultation Period For ‘Bowlee Funds’

The consultation period is now over, following last night’s AGM we are now waiting on the clubs board of directors to provide details of their preferred option and what they offer The Trust in return for the funds.
We will announce a formal postal vote in due course.

Easy Fundraising

With Christmas round the corner (they’ve got mince pies in the Co-op) we’re looking to bang the drum about Easyfundraising, it is a habit we’d like members to get into, rather than going straight to Amazon, go to the page below and access Amazon from there, the Trust will receive a percentage direct from Amazon, costing you nothing.
We’ve smashed the £960 barrier and we’ve firmly got our eyes on the £1000 mark now. If you are buying anything online, booking holidays or nights away, taking out any insurance, buying a new mobile, or indeed anything involving money online, then please visit our Easyfundraising link and search from there. As we keep saying, the prices you pay are the same as you would have paid by going to the sites directly, and the retailer will make a donation back to the Trust. It’s a fantastic and easy way to donate money to the Trust.
Let try and break the £1000 mark this year!

Junior Dale

The Trust have been working with Football in the Community to promote the Junior Dale Saturday Club we are pleased to announce that numbers are continuing to rise, we are also pleased to announce that on production of a valid Dale Trust membership card you can get £1 off. Please note there are no training tops left

Former Players Association

Work has started on launching the Rochdale Former Players Association that will take place in 2014.
The Trust has set up a working group in a bid to create the Former Players Association. Membership of the group will be open to anyone who has played a first team game for the club, and the benefits will be update newsletters, an annual FPA meal, a Masters XI plus whatever else the group shows interest in.
A number of former players have already been approached, and the initial feedback would suggest that there is a great deal of interest in this project with several having been signed up already. The focus for now is to contact those players who have retired from the game, rather than having simply moved on to another club.
Membership of the Rochdale FPA is and will continue to be free of charge. If you have contact details for any former players, please email the Trust.
If you are in touch with any former players please pass this information on, we are also going to run a competition on twitter, details to be announced.

Dale Trust Calendars

We will have the calendars printed by the end of the month, we’ll then be trying to sell as many as possible, we’ll probably go on about it a lot so bear with us, however, the cost of the calendar has been met through advertisers on each page so the sale of each calendar directly benefits The Trust and work we do, at £5 each we think they are great value.
We want to sell out and order more, so let’s have another success!

Friends of the Trust

We have a growing number of ‘friends of the trust’ with further announcements this week, have a look on the website to see the current offers, alternatively you can search using #fott on twitter.

Trust Team Sheets

If you were in the Dale Bar or Studds before Saturdays match you’d have received a team sheet just after 2.15pm, the Trust are pleased to announced that we will be handing out official team sheets before every home game as soon as the team line ups are officially released.
