We were contacted on Monday by the Walsall Supporters Trust following the sad passing of Dale legend Wayne Evans.
We were saddened to learn of Evo’s passing over the weekend at the age of 51. Evans was a Dale stalwart for many years, and has coached on both sides of the Atlantic since retiring.
A crowdfunder has been set up by his former team mate Chris Marsh that hopes to raise £30,000 to bring him back to the UK. “Weʼre raising £30,000 to After the sudden and devastating loss of Wayne Evans we are trying to raise funds to help towards the costs of bringing him back home.”
