We have contacted the EFL on Friday morning with 50 questions that we believe must be answered by them in relation to the hostile takeover attempt of Rochdale AFC.
All 50 questions related to the suitability, proof of funding and the intentions of those behind the hostile takeover attempt and whether they are worthy of passing the tests that the EFL require any new owners to take.
We have seen this week the EFL come under scrutiny following the investigative documentary aired on Al-Jazeera regarding the methods used to take over football clubs and to get around the checks put in place by the EFL to look after the best interests of the game.
We make no apology for repeating what we have often said – this hostile takeover is not wanted by the Club, the Shareholders and any of the Supporters, and it will be fought every step of the way.
