It was always our intention to provide as much information as possible about the ongoing situation to our members regarding Chris Dunphy’s desire to return to the Club as Chairman.
As a Members’ led organisation, we asked for our Members’ initial thoughts before taking any course of action. We received a large number of responses that broadly speaking were 64% in favour of Chris Dunphy returning as Chairman, 32% undecided with 4% against his return to the club.
Given we had close to a third of the responses seeking more information with a time frame for replies from both. We followed this up with a number of questions to both the Rochdale AFC Board of Directors and Chris Dunphy last Friday. We published the responses to our Members’ questions from Chris Dunphy on Sunday evening.
Unfortunately, we did not receive replies to those questions put to the Club and despite a number of subsequent attempts to by ourselves to obtain answers to the questions, we have been repeatedly informed by the Club that they will be unable to answer our Members’ questions until after the next scheduled Board Meeting that is due to take place on Monday 19th April.
At this moment, we are considering the next steps that we should take, and we will endeavour to keep people informed throughout about any developments and future consultation by the Trust.
