The Offer

Members Prices for ALL Rochdale Supporters Trust Members on the production of a valid card.

Based at the Rochdale Cricket Ground, just five minutes’ walk from Spotland,  Rochdale Sports Club is an amalgamation of  Rochdale Cricket Club, Rochdale Lacrosse Club, and Rochdale Squash Club all brought together under the new name, but with each club keeping their own identity and history.

The Club has offered Trust Members a Great Offer

With a fabulous offer for all valid Trust members holding a current membership card

Trust Members can now enjoy the discounts offered to club members when using the services of the club, be it a quiet, or maybe not so quiet drink, hire of one of the several amazing functions suits or maybe one of the club social events, all of which probably is a general saving of 12% off normal pricing and that applies at any time during the week, but you will need your card.

Based on what people know as the Rochdale Cricket ground on Bridgefold Road next to Spotland the Trust met with Committee Chair, Andrew Dodgson, Committee Member Alistair Bolingbroke, and Manager Gar Hunter to look at ways that the club could become a ‘Friend’ of the Trust and it was then we were offered a great deal.

The Offer

Whilst chatting to Andy Dodgson, Chairperson of the committee he was at pains to point out that they already have on match days many Rochdale fans enjoying the club’s hospitality, he said ” One of the main things we look forward to is the matchdays and the friendly gatherings of both home and away fans who not only can enjoy a drink and a nibble, both before and after the game but with our large car park we offer all those that use our facilities free parking, again though bring your membership card.

Gar Hunter, club manager explained that besides an excellent range of beers and spirits all at sensible prices (at members prices don’t forget ) we have a range of soft drinks, coffees, and teas. “We get many fans in before the game,” he said ” but with our capacity, we can host many more in surroundings that are bright and modern. He went on to say ‘ those availing themselves of the club’s hospitality can use the car park and the ground is a mere five minutes walk away. Before concentrating on the club’s amenities and function rooms in more detail it’s worth remembering that Trust members can use these facilities outside of match days when they can come down for a drink, a social event or maybe join one of the sports branches if they want ( Trust Membership is not applicable for specific sports memberships)  but that’s not mandatory, we will welcome you at any time we are open, and though at the time of writing COVID 19 was still blighting our lives we do hope to be open as much as possible, obviously in a COVID safe environment. To find out more you can contact Gar using the contact details further down the page.

So what besides matchdays, social nights, and specific club social events do the club offer?

Alistair Bolingbroke “Leaving aside for the moment the three major sports that are based here, we have had a major refurbishment to all our function areas, the building has as you can see has two floors which allow us to cater for a wide diverse range of events and the building and its functional areas is designed for full disabled access and we have a lift to assist those that need”

Alistair again ” we think our location is a hidden gem, set within 13 acres of a beautiful parkland setting, our three function rooms cater for large events, such as Weddings, Birthday Parties, Christening Parties, and Conferences, to the smaller, intimate occasions like Funeral wakes and Life celebrations. For Corporate events, we can offer breakfasts, lunches, and dinners.

Weddings.

The Trust asked about the weddings as some venues have wedding licenses, Gar Hunter ” The club has full licensing for weddings, that means you can actually tie the knot here at the club, utilising our balcony overlooking the fields for some glorious photographs or take the entire wedding party for photographs to any part of the ground and woodland, weather permitting that is, the possibilities are endless”. “We arrange it all said chair Andy Dodgson, “we can liaise with the registrar, arrange music, or liaise with your own musicians, anything is possible and we guarantee to go all out to make your day special” “Just contact me,” said manager Gar Hunter  “on 07908 649155 or email me on rochdaleclsclub@gmail.com addressing it for my attention”, AND REMEMBER, Dale Trust members on production of their membership card automatically get discount to members prices.

Car Parking

We have a car parking facility for up to 100 vehicles with easy access for larger vehicles including coaches, and we are very conveniently located within close proximity to Rochdale Town Centre and the M62 motorway network.

Remember, Trust members using the pre-match facilities can park for free, but have your membership card available.

A Friend of the Trust is a local company or organisation that the Trust has set up a partnership with for the benefit of our members. Occasionally Trust members recommend the service, however, we publish the details with no recommendation other than the fact we see it as a way of encouraging Rochdale people to use Rochdale organisations in a way that is mutually beneficial.

The Trust takes no payment for any of these partnerships.
