August brings in £62.25

Our partnership with Easyfundraising has raised a total of £62.25 from purchases made during August. This was a huge increase on July which fetched £12.95.

If you’ve never used Easyfundraising before, it’s really simple and you cannot get a better way of raising money for the Trust. The way it works is you register, then use their website as a starting point for your online shopping. The prices you pay will be the same you would have paid otherwise, but the retailer will make a donation back to the Trust.

They cover all household names, but it’s not just shopping. It’s insurance quotes, holidays, mobile phones, household bills etc – all the stuff that we do online anyway but the difference is that the Trust (and ultimately the Football Club) benefits from it. Over £500 was raised towards the 5-a-side pitch this year specifically through Easyfundraising.

If you’re a forgetful old sod like myself , there’s a plug in you can get for your browser which automatically detects if your online shopping is compatible with Easyfundraising, and will ask you if you would like to donate. This is by far the best way of doing it and personally speaking has ensured donations that otherwise I would have forgotten about. You can get the plug in here. It’s a lot less hassle doing it this way.

And if you’re really tight with your money (again like me), you can raise money through Easyfundraising without spending a single penny. They have a number of free trials that you can cancel after signing up to which will bring in several pounds. The free trials can be viewed here.

We started our partnership with Easyfundraising a number of years ago, and since then £3612.21 has been raised. We have 221 people registered through Easyfundraising but the vast majority of funds have been raised by a handful of people. The top five people registered have raised £2,328.31 out of the £3612.21.

If you want to sign up, please use this link. That way, if you raise £5 through Easyfundraising, they will pay us an extra £5. No donations will be made without registering.

Please get involved, it’s free money for us and if you get the plug in, it’s incredibly little effort from yourself to do so. £3,612 is brilliant, but with 5 out of 221 raising £2,330 of that, it shows what can be achieved.

You can see from the table below that whilst the likes of Amazon will only bring in a few pence at a time, things like Car Insurance and Hotel bookings can be massive earners for us. Searching for Car Insurance through Go Compare brought in £15, whilst car insurance through AA fetched £20. Sometimes payments can arrive in the following month which can sometimes lead to what may appear to be a discrepancy between months but the money will always reach us.
