The Trust will be hosting their final matchball sponsorship of the season this weekend when Dale host Bradford City, and there’s another returning legend.
There wasn’t too much to smile about supporting Dale back in the 1980’s but one player who stood out was Steve Taylor. The Royton born striker signed for Dale from Stockport back in 1984, and he had an immediate impact for the club. His two year spell saw him finish as the division’s top scorer back in 1985-86 with 31 goals to his name (25 in the league).
Joining Steve and his wife for the pre-match meal will be six Trust members who have been picked at random from the membership to attend. Those supporters are Paul and Caroline Leedham, , Stephen and Michael Cohen and Kieran and Edward Heakin.
