Great to see ex-Dale player, Andy Barlow speaking yesterday at hospitality prior to kick off for the match against Truro City.
Andy was invited by Trust director Keith Hicks, our director and coordinator of the Former Players Association. Keith coordinates the guest speakers who attend the clubs 1907 Lounge hospitality post home games.
During the conversation he mentioned his introduction into professional football at Notts Forest before appearing at Oldham Athletic, Blackpool and Rochdale, which was to be his last club. He played 68 times for the Dale scoring one goal, which turned out to be his last before retiring, he’s now working for the PFA as a regional coach.
The Trust would like to thank Andy for his time given, his interesting post match conversations and for also being a good sport in drawing the half time raffle which saw over£500 go to a lucky fan.
