CAB Interim Report, 17th November 2025
The CAB met today (November 17th, 2025) for itsregular bi-monthly meeting.
PLEASE NOTE:
These notes are simply a summary of the discussions held by your Trust Representatives and fellow CAB board attendees last night. They are intended to provide members and fans with an understanding of the topics discussed.
The club will release the full official minutes soon, which we will publish as soon as they become available.
IFR (Independent Football Regulator): the IFR had held a Club Conference recently attended by 110 out of 116 clubs. It wasn’t known who the six absentees were. The supervisory aspects of the IFR’s role wouldn’t be prescriptive and would be tailored to a club’s responsiveness to the IFR’s regime.
Head of Ticketing: a new Head of Ticketing has been appointed, starting Tuesday 25th November. All supporters who have had dealings with Jan will wish her all the best as she leaves the club.
Ticketing: with the new ticketing system, it is possible to identify where tickets have been bought for matches, but not used subsequently. This kind of information will be used to try and increase attendances at the COA.
Pitch Update: the extra support given by the Ogdens in hiring the MacLeod covers was acknowledged and was appreciated. The club is currently looking at all options to conduct the much needed remedial works to the pitch and details of the proposed plan will be shared shortly.
Kit Designs 2026-27: a brief outline of the designs and colours for next season was provided and a shirt made of a new, improved material was passed round to members. Swatches are to be provided at a future CAB meeting.
Refund policy: the current ticket refund policy is that following a postponement, refunds are made only after the re-arranged fixture has taken place. As from next season, refunds will be available after the re-arranged date has been announced. Full details on the new policy will be shared shortly.
Communication Framework: a contact sheet is to be made available detailing who should be contacted at the club, and by whom, on specific matters. More use should be made of the generic email fanservices@rochdaleafc.com
Golden Share: Jamie Willoughby confirmed that the Golden Share will be issued. The delay in progress is solely due to other Rochdale projects requiring more immediate attention. It is important that the rules surrounding it are correctly drafted. He confirmed that the Dale Supporters Trust is the right body to hold the Golden Share. It was stated that neither the CAB nor the Community Trust were the right bodies for holding it. It was also mentioned that the Football Regulator will have a veto over decisions involving Golden Share issues, so there is a further layer of protection for supporters.
Future CAB Minutes: CAB minutes are currently somewhat haphazard in their production and issue. Starting from the next CAB meeting in January minutes will be circulated by the Friday following the Monday CAB meeting. So these could be the last CAB interim report.
Fundraising: the option of making a donation when buying a ticket is now in place. Investigations will take place on making a donation by rounding up purchases of drinks in the Ratcliffe and Dale bars.
Sponsorship: sponsorship could be increased by, for example, getting sponsors for items such as the corner flags; reference was made to the recent sponsorship of the Man of the Match Award.
The Trust would like to thank its fellow CAB board colleagues for a productive and enjoyable collaboration tonight and to club colleagues, Andy Duff, Jamie Willoughby, Ryan Bradley and to George Delves.
