A couple of years ago, just pre Ogden, the Trust postulated the idea of fund raising for rain covers, more importantly the version which could be inflated and raised of the ground making a form of a tent. Though considered not needed at the time it was something we thought would make a good fund raiser but with the needs elsewhere taking president it was never costed or taken forward. Today following Jamie’s statement on the pitch, so timely posted the other week Here,
The Club has confirmed on their website HERE, that they have hired an inflatable dome pitch cover.
The MacLeod Covers were laid on the pitch on Tuesday afternoon and were inflated today (Wednesday). The dome pitch covers will be in situ until as late as possible on Saturday morning.
We think all members and fans will agree that this is a super piece of kit and having thanked Jamie before we would like to thank the club for this initiative, which goes a long way to demonstrate the clubs commitment to get matches on wherever.
