On a day when the weather could have played a factor, Dale’s women’s team played a blinder!
With a 3-2 win over MSB Woolton on Sunday, the Dale women’s team continued the winning streak, which began with the men’s team on Saturday. Sunday showcased the “grit” and “determination” that have become hallmarks of this team as they secured a place in the next qualifying round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.
Football is always challenging, but a 3-2 victory against an opponent who came out after the break determined to secure a result was extremely satisfying, and the next stage of the cup awaits..
Manager Lee Atkinson expressed his satisfaction after the game, stating, “I’m delighted to get through. It’s a big competition for the club, and it’s important to progress. We’re happy with our performance. We deserved to be in the lead. Although our levels dropped slightly, we remained focused and managed to put the ball away.”
Can’t fault that.
