COA stays the COA, Slick bit of business done we think!

Crown Oil Extends Stadium Naming Rights, as seen in the post on the club website HERE.

The club’s MD, Andy Duff, has been at it again, negotiating that is, and secured a new sponsorship deal with Crown Oils Managing Director Matthew Greensmith, which also includes the naming rights of the COA.

The agreement allows our home to remain the Crown Oil Arena, while for the first time, all of our Club and Community Trust teams’ shirts will display Crown Oil’s branding on the front.

It’s fair to say that back in 2016, when Spotland, our ground and its history, became the Centre of Attraction (COA), many people were uncertain and even unhappy about the change. However, Spotland did not disappear; it received a new benefactor and sponsor, whose involvement was crucial. Without their support, the situation could have resulted in dire and unthinkable consequences for both the ground and the club, and so the centre of attraction became “The COA”, “The Crown Oil Arena.

Crown Oil’s involvement with the Club stretches back to 2012, when they first sponsored the front of the First Team’s shirts. Today, their involvement, according to Andy, is at least until 2028.

Today’s announcement is another positive step in pursuing the Ogden family’s initiative, “For Generations To Come.” For us, today’s fan base is hopefully the beginning of the climb back to the Football League.

The Trust has a history of supporting local businesses, and it continues to do so.

We reviewed Crown Oils’ website, and they are definitely a local company with a fascinating history. Their website features great photos and offers intriguing information about products that many people take for granted.

Have a look, it’s worth it.
