Week Commencing 21st July is The Clubs “Volunteers Week”

“Volunteers Week” is a club initiative supported by CAD and the Supporters Trust. Over the years, the Trust has consistently led efforts to promote and provide volunteer opportunities. Now, more than ever, the club’s Fan Services team, led by Ruby Loynd, has developed an engaging program that allows fans and volunteers to help prepare the COA for the upcoming season. The Trust aims to encourage as many members as possible to support this effort.

This week is designed to accommodate everyone, allowing individuals to contribute as much time as they can spare. If you have fundamental trade skills, that would be even better! For example, this correspondent, under the supervision of “Her Indoors,” recently painted some walls, which certainly qualifies as a useful endeavour. Supervision on the day will be provided by qualified staff who will appreciate the enthusiasm shown by volunteers.

Rochdale Football Club is calling on supporters, local businesses, and members of the community to get involved in our Volunteers Week.

Taking place at the Crown Oil Arena from Monday, 21st July to Friday, 25th July 2025, we aim to prepare the ground ahead of the 2025/26 season and would welcome any support, whether you can spare a few hours or a full day.

Throughout the week, we’ll be carrying out light maintenance and tidying jobs across the stadium, including things such as cleaning the back of the stands, repainting the steps and more.

If there is a strong turnout on Friday afternoon, we are planning to open the bar as a reward for those volunteers. We are also hoping to entice some of the First Team squad to come down and help get stuck in with our volunteering tasks!

Snacks and refreshments will be available for all volunteers during the day in the Boardroom.

Whether you’re a long-time fan or just looking to support your local club, everyone is welcome. Even an hour of your time can make a difference.

If you would like to be involved, please email fanservices@rochdaleafc.co.uk to register so that we have an idea of numbers and the jobs that can be allocated.

We are encouraging local businesses, particularly those involved in the decorating/maintenance trades, to get involved by donating time, resources or staff. In return, participating businesses will receive various benefits such as promotion through our social media channels after the event, recognition on our website and in related posts.

It’s a great way to support a community club while gaining valuable local exposure.

To volunteer or support, please email fanservices@rochdaleafc.co.uk with your name, phone number, availability, and any tools or supplies you can offer.

OTHER VOLUNTEERING AT RAFC

Join us for the 25/26 season: Cover Squad.

We will also be using this time to recruit a pool of people who are interested in joining us to come and have a chat with us regarding the various volunteering needs throughout the club.

Of particular note is the need to create a squad of volunteers who can support deployment or removal of the pitch covers at short notice, which we plan to use extensively throughout the season.

If you think you could be part of the Cover Squad, then please do get in touch, either in person next week or via fanservices@rochdaleafc.co.uk.
