The latest episode (episode 4) from the guys at the Walking Football podcast “Walkie Talkie” is now online at their YouTube channel. You can also view it here below at the bottom of the article.
Sponsored by the Dale trust (see here), which provided the new equipment to facilitate its initiative, “Walkie Talkie” is presented by Dale’s own international walking footballer, David Brooks, and fellow footballer Simon Atherfold.
In episode four, the duo are joined by Mr Keith Hicks, a former player for Dale who considers himself “The Sheriff” and a legend (his words). After his football career, he spent over twenty years building the Community Trust at the club and supporting the local football community. Keith is also a Trust director and the Coordinator of the Former Players Association, which has successfully provided former players for various hospitality and charity events. With experience at several clubs (one of which we will not mention here but is on the podcast), Keith is uniquely qualified to discuss all things football, including how walking football has integrated into the club and the national scene.
This fascinating episode features a backdrop on a ground that many will know (still not mentioning the club, lol.) as the podcast team delivers this brilliant broadcast.
