Just like the daily weather, unexpected changes can occur, affecting our best-laid plans. This has happened for our annual Curry On Up The Dale 15
Sadly, Steve Davies, the third guest speaker announced for the Trust Curry Night on Thursday 10th April, has contacted us to advise that, unfortunately, he regrets that he will be unable to attend due to a previously booked event.
The Trust is actively seeking to provide an alternative guest to join Matt Done and Lee McEvilly on the evening and shall keep you updated.”
As we finalize this year’s entertainment, let’s look back at last year’s event here, which was a huge success. The venue was packed with loyal fans and friends. Our host, David Dockerty, kept the audience engaged with exciting auction items and popular raffle prizes.
One standout award was the coveted “Ironing Board,” which was won by Lee Percy from Team Dale 1907. We have something special planned for you this year, Lee, but we’ll keep it a secret for now! In the meantime, we hope last year’s star auction item, which your generosity secured, is still hanging on the wall at home (assuming Mrs. P has allowed it!).

Other notable catches from the auction included our friend from the club, George Delves, who landed a collector’s item that is now part of a valuable collection in the Delves household. We’re hoping for the same luck this year for you, George, as we have something we believe will tempt you again!
