“Her Game Too” Big Jim and Harvey become Advocates For Our Boston Game

Ahead of the dedicated Her Game Too fixture against Boston this weekend, our Head Coach and number eight have pledged their support to the campaign, which seeks to make football a welcoming, inclusive, and safe space for women and girls. Supporters attending Saturday’s fixture against Boston United can expect a number of special events to mark the occasion.

This season, as part of the Trusts’ sponsorship, we decided to support a revamp and reset of the Her Game Too initiative, see HERE,  which was then led by Charlotte Cromarty and Leanne Connorley. With funds provided and equipment purchased, the relaunch of Rochdale’s HGT was a Daletrust success, something everyone hoped it would be.

Since that opening day, the HGT message has gone from strength to strength and has firmly established itself and its mantra in the club’s DNA. From all at the Trust, we wish and hope the initiative gains strength and further influence.

Recently, with two new ambassadors, Isabelle Whiteley and Fiona Murray, appointed (see HERE)to replace retiring stalwarts Charlotte and Leanne and to carry on the momentum, we saw Jimmy McNulty become our first-ever Her Game Too Manager Advocate, and Harvey Gilmour was appointed as the campaign’s Player Advocate.
