The post-match presentations took place in the 1907 Lounge after the dramatic week we had, culminating in the welcome win against Aldershot on Saturday, the fixture made possible only by the generous intervention of the Ogden family in providing the essential protection for the pitch and the remarkable set of volunteers who pitched (intended pun) in assisting the grounds staff. We covered this in our story HERE.
It culminated in a really special day for Harvey Gilmour. Not only did he score the essential winning goal, and was presented with the Man of the Match, but had also been voted by the fanbase as the well-deserved winner of the Player of the Month for October – having already won it for the month of September! See HERE
Voting is open to all each month, with those Trust members taking part being included in a draw to decide who makes the presentation to the winning player, and Woody Mayberry was the lucky member chosen to present Harvey with his award.
The photo shows the presentation of the plaque being made by Woody, a signed copy of which he retained as a momento of the day.
Remember – voting for the Player of the Month is open to all, not only Trust members, and to be included in the draw to make the presentation to the winning player, it’s simple – already a Trust member, nothing else is required, except to ensure that you vote each month to be included in the draw.
Who knows, you could be the lucky Trust member chosen to present to a future winner.
Good Luck!!
