Dale fan and friend to the Trust and Dale 1907, Wendy Woo, began raising funds for the cause several years ago when the club faced an unwanted takeover and needed to cover legal bills. That was then, but the collection boxes Wendy set up in the Empire and Hogarth’s continue to accept donations. Now, the funds are split: half support Dale 1907, helping maintain their rebellious atmosphere on the ground, and the other half supports the Trust in backing youth, community, and charity initiatives.

Regular donations from the many who frequent the town’s taverns have raised nearly £4,000 for the good causes run by the team at the Trust and DALE 1907. That amount was increased today by almost £308 banked from the boxes, which continue to give.
On behalf of all at the Trust and DALE 1907, we thank everyone who continues to drop the coins and often the notes into the specially designed fundraising “Wendy” boxes placed at the Empire and at Hogarth’s. And there is more to come as plans are ahead to have more “Wendy” boxes in other places as well.
