At the start of the season, the Dale Trust kicked off an exciting initiative to breathe new life into the “Her Game Too” program at the Dale! We’re thrilled to have our current HGT ambassador, Charlotte Cromarty, on board, and we’re especially delighted to see the HGT organisation “promote” existing advocate Leanne Connoley as the second ambassador.
We have established a strong official partnership with the HGT organisation and are committed to supporting their team in their reset. This support includes initial financial backing, sponsorship, and access to Daletrust facilities. Since then, they have successfully appointed four permanent advocates (see HERE), and Rochdale HGT is now becoming well-established, focusing on the goals and mission of the HGT organisation. With a strong directive to be available for women who visit the ground and to be involved with community support for the Trust’s women’s grassroots initiative, Rochdale HGT are now firmly established and fully in control of its own destiny, and we could not be more pleased.
Yesterday, at the Yeovil home game, the HGT team set up their own merchandise stall to sell items that promote the HGT ideology, to highlight their existence and to raise funds for their future initiatives.
We want to express our gratitude to our sister organisation, DALE 1907, for their commitment to enhancing the atmosphere both in the stadium and among supporters. Their mission is to bring the “12th man” legally onto the pitch and to promote all things related to Dale. From their humble yet energetic beginnings, they have developed a unique identity within the club and its fan base. They continue to elevate the supporter experience at each game. Just yesterday, we witnessed the largest flags ever displayed (see HERE) at a Dale game, which created an extraordinary level of enthusiasm.
Yesterday, joining the HGT merchandise desk was the already established DALE 1907 merchandise table, which was a great help by not only sharing space but also promoting the event publicly. The 1907 team actively welcomed the HGT team and provided support, as the photos show. It’s great to see,
The Trust will continue to support HGT as we agreed at the beginning of the season, and our admiration and continuing support for Matt, Lee, and Mark “Willy” and all the team at DALE 1907 continues, that goes without saying.
