What a fantastic start to the new season! The energy, passion, and determination on display, all driven by the rhythm of “The Drum,” which truly set the tone.
Even for those who couldn’t make the trip, the Ratcliffe was also buzzing with nearly 200 fans enjoying both bars and celebrating a well-earned victory.
Hearing the new drum in action for the first time was such a thrill—it never missed a beat! Thanks to everyone who kept the rhythm going, and when the camera was on that end, you could see the arm moving up and down in perfect sync.
The atmosphere was incredible, and honestly, it was mirrored by the lively fans at the Ratcliffe and Dale bar. I imagine the Trust might need to get the drum tuned again soon—after all, it was primarily set up just for this trip!
And it just shows how lucky we are, as we have an exclusive clip of the drum getting a workout.
Future performances are being scheduled at Brackley Town and Weldstone. They have no idea what’s about to descend on them!
We are grateful for our Musical Director, Trust member Keiron Babbington, who was to have a video he sent published, but then we listened to the rewritten lyrics and decided against it!
We congratulate all who went and hope that they have or will have had a safe and probably noisy journey back.
And now for Alty at Home next week, where the instrument of noise will make its home debut!
Finally, everyone, the Trust Coach to Brackley is open for booking.
We have taken several bookings already so to avoid disappointment, book early.
