The title above would normally be a question with a universal big “NO” as the answer, but for some, it’s a reality that they face and most certainly don’t fancy, but it happens.
As members, along with fans and friends in general, we have the opportunity to make a difference.
It’s that time of year again when Petrus organises their “Sleep Out” event to support their charitable work. This event aims to raise awareness for the homeless and those in need of a haven, understanding, and support.
Petrus Rochdale and our own Dale Community Trust have been organising a supervised sleep-out at the club to raise funds for the essential work that Petrus performs. This year’s event is scheduled for Friday, August 29th, from 7 PM to 7 AM at the COA. While it won’t be easy, it will be worthwhile. Although this event takes place during a relatively mild time of year, and with staff backup and facilities, it still represents the challenges faced by individuals experiencing homelessness, which can happen at any time throughout the year.

Below are the key details, and for those who, for whatever reason, don’t fancy the night but want to support, you can by just donating. Below are a few stats to see exactly what your donation and registration could mean to Petrust Users. We took them from the Petrus website HERE
£5 could provide a vulnerable person with a daily hot meal for a week
£10 could provide a person with a hot shower, with toiletries, laundry facilities and clean underwear
£20 could provide a person with a mobile phone to maintain contact with support services and family members
£50 could provide all clothing for two people to join nature-based wellbeing activities.
All funds raised will be split between Petrust and the Community Trust and will aid both organisations to bring impact to the community that needs.
