Hi from the “Her Game Too” team! We are Charlotte and Leanne, ambassadors for” Her Game Too” here in Rochdale. We hope you are doing well and enjoying the season break!
We extend a warm welcome to all Dale fans, Trust Members, HGT activists, and especially our new colleagues at Daletrust.

We want to provide an important update about the future direction of the Her Game Too Rochdale team. You may have seen various plans for HGT involving the Trust in other contexts, here.
In recent weeks, there have been meetings between the leadership of Her Game Too, including Leanne Connolly and Charlotte Cromarty, and representatives from The Dale Trust. More recently, Lucy Ford, co-founder of Her Game Too and head of Grassroots, joined our discussions and expressed her support, giving her endorsement for our partnership with The Dale Trust and Her Game Too.
The following outcomes were agreed:
• Leanne and Charlotte will now act as joint ambassadors
• A formal partnership has been established between Her Game Too Rochdale and The Dale Trust, with Leanne joining the trust board.
• A rebranding of “Her Game Too Rochdale” is now underway, which will show clear direction and we hope will provide a noticeable presence at the COA both during the game and prior, when we will be joining the Trust Desk, which is in the Dale Bar.
The team acknowledges that, for various reasons, the campaign has not reached its full potential in recent seasons. However, that is about to change. This season marks a fresh start and a restructuring of the team, with a complete reset of our aims and goals, while consistently promoting the HGT message.

By collaborating with the Trust and its partners, we have created a unique opportunity to engage with grassroots fan bases. While we remain committed to our obligations to our “Home Town,” we have already established connections with supporter organisations at other clubs through the Football Supporters Association (FSA) conference. One notable partnership is with a dedicated group at Sheffield United, which is focused on promoting women’s football. Although this collaboration is still in its early stages, it presents an opportunity for Rochdale HGT, The DaleTrust, and hopefully the club, to effectively communicate the HGT message in a way that becomes impossible to ignore.
With Leanne Connoly stepping up to join Charlotte as an HGT ambassador, it will provide a precise definition to the work and offer a more individualised focus on our advocates, who will be our front-line messengers.
Receiving permission from the HGT hierarchy to have two ambassadors is a massive recognition for the program and our partnership with the Trust.
To round up, We are in the initial stages stages for exploring future recruiting for new advocates to join the team, these will form the nucleus of the onsite HGT advocates at home games, we will be publishing shortly a simple job description which we hope will excite as well as entice people to come forward. More on that will become available over the next two weeks.
If anyone is interested and would like to have an informal chat before we release more details, please email Charlotte or Leanne at hergametoo@daletrust.co.uk. We will get back to you and arrange a time for a proper conversation.
