Our all-time leading goalscorer netted 13 times in 52 appearances across all competitions last season, taking his total tally to 160 goals in 486 games.
The new deal extends Henderson’s stay into a fourth year of his second spell at the club, having already written his name into Dale folklore over eight seasons in his first stint.
He netted 126 goals in that first spell, needing four more to become our all-time leading marksman, which he accomplished in November 2022.
Since then, he has added another 30, including hitting double figures in each of the last two campaigns under Head Coach Jimmy McNulty.
The 40-year-old is currently our second-highest appearance holder and sits 45 games behind fellow Dale legend Gary Jones, who played 531 times.
