With the season still over a fortnight away from starting, the Trust has equalled the number of members that it achieved in the whole of last season, and the supporter who helped us hit that tally has made something of a name for himself recently.
The supporter in question who has helped us equal last season’s total member is Jesús Sánchez Alemañy – a supporter better known to many as Spanish Dale.
Dale supporters have recently raised close to £500 to pay for Jesús to make his first ever visit to Rochdale to watch his beloved Dale play. https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/darren-roy
But that’s gone one step further today, with Dale supporter JonnyVimto paying for Jesús’s Trust membership, and in doing so ensuring that the Trust has matched the 2016-17 total.
There are now 176 Adult members, including 73 Exile members, and 88 Junior members giving us a total so far of 264 members. Our record for members was 2009-10 when 604 Dale supporters signed up.
