Sponsored Walk to Accrington

The Dale Trust are organising a sponsored walk to Accrington before our game there on Saturday 21st September.
The aim of the walk is to raise funds for this year’s chosen charity – Rochdale Football In the Community. The plan is to raise over £1,000 towards a van that they can use when they visit schools, organisations and community groups throughout the town.
We are hoping that as many Dale supporters as possible will join us for the walk, whether they are raising money or just fancy doing it socially. It is approximately fifteen miles as we head over Owd Betts.
Details can be found here and we confirm the Trust will be arranging travel back to club after the match.

AGM Date Set

Our AGM is Thursday 10th October and will take place at 7.00pm in the main lounge at Spotland.

Consultation Period For ‘Bowlee Funds’

As you will be well aware, we have now completed the consultation period for what to do with the surplus of funds after the purchase of the pitch covers. We held a meeting at Spotland in late July, but following comments that there was insufficient time on the night to fully discuss the issues, a further meeting took place Monday 2nd September with further comments raised. The plan is now as follows:
September 3rd to September 30th: Research period where all suggestions are investigated for feasibility
October 10th: Vote launched at AGM with all choices outlined to members
October 11th: All members receive postal ballot
October 31st: Close of vote and project announced

Easy Fundraising

We’ve smashed the £950 barrier and we’ve firmly got our eyes on the £1000 mark now. If you are buying anything online, booking holidays or nights away, taking out any insurance, buying a new mobile, or indeed anything involving money online, then please visit our Easyfundraising link first of all and search from there. As we keep saying, the prices you pay are the same as you would have paid by going to the sites directly, and the retailer will make a donation back to the Trust.
