Supporters Match / Kit Auction / Quiz Night

Monday sees the last Trust event of the season as we host a trilogy of events at Spotland. The fun kicks off with Supporters 2013 v Supporters 2008 taking place on the Spotland pitch. Entry is free to watch this game as the modern supporters team taking on their vintage counterparts. At around, 7:30 we’ll start with the annual Jack the Kitman kit auction with many of the first team kits and training wear being made available to be purchased. There’s also framed shirts from Dale legends such as Keith Hill, Alan Johnson and Paddy McCourt. And if all that is not enough, we’ll have the annual Dale Trust quiz night at around 8:30. The Kit Auction and the Quiz will both take place in the main Players’ Lounge at Spotland. Quiz entry is £1 per team member, with a trophy up for grabs for the winning team.

Awards Evening

We hope that all supporters had an enjoyable evening at the Awards Evening on Saturday in the Ratcliffe Bars. The supporters had named Jason Kennedy as their Player of the Season with 35.5% of the vote ahead of Phil Edwards (17.6%) and Bobby Grant (16.3%). The supporters also picked out Rhys Bennett for the Goal of the Season for his long run against York City back in December. We are aware that due to technical issues with the PA in the Ratcliffe Suite, some supporters found it difficult to hear what was being said. This is something that we will address for next season. There will be a collection of photographs from the Awards Evening on www.DaleTrust.com at 9am on Monday morning.

Cystic Fibrosis

A grand total of £656 was raised for Cystic Fibrosis following the Awards Evening. This was made up of £289 worth of advance ticket sales, and £367 raised on the night mostly through the raffle. We would like to thank all supporters who contributed to this. We will arrange for this to be transferred to this charity at some stage this week.
