Awards Evening Raffle

The Trust will be running a raffle at the Awards Evening on Saturday evening, and the prizes are range from the valuable to the historical to the unique.

The best prize that will be offer is a hospitality day out at Spotland for four at a League game of your choice. This will include a prematch meal, passes for the Players’ Lounge, programmes for the game and executive seats in the Main Stand. The retail value of such a prize is approximately £200.

Some of the other prizes on offer are the sort of prizes that cannot be found anywhere else. We have three unique shirts (two of them deliberately unique) that will be part of the raffle.

We have two shirts that were offered to the club as sample shirts for the 2012-13 season, but ultimately rejected. The first is a sample home shirt in blue, whilst the other is a suggested Black away shirt with purple edging.

Alt Kit 2

Neither of these kits are available elsewhere, and you’ll be the envy of your friends if you manage to win a one off Dale shirt.

There’s also a goalkeeper’s shirt from this season that will certainly not be available elsewhere. It might be useful for any Dale supporters thinking of spreading the good word of the club to Australia in the next few months.

We also have some prizes of historical value all of which go back to Keith Hill’s first time at the club.

We have first of all a signed Dale football from the squad that finished in the highest league position in the club’s history. The ball comes from the launch of the Co-op sponsorship in April 2011.

Our next raffle prize is (as far as we know) a unique memento from the promotion season. It’s a two foot long picture of the shirts hung up in the dressing room from 2009-10 and is far better than our photograph of it looks. It comes with hooks on the back, so it is ready to hang on the wall.

Our last prize is a gift that was given to the club following our visit to Wembley in 2008. You’ll be the pride of the office with this Wembley paperweight, which again isn’t done justice by the photograph. It features a 3D image of the new Wembley Stadium.

Trust members will be going round on the evening selling raffle tickets. They will cost £1 for a strip, or six strips for £5. Please dig deep on the night, as all the proceeds for the raffle will go to Cystic Fibrosis.
